DESCRIPTIONOn behalf of our multinational partner, we are looking for candidates to the position ofSENIOR BI DEVELOPERThis role will involve enhancing the capabilities of its warehouses with a special focus on improving performance of very complex queries.The job involves architecting and developing warehouse to use the latest business intelligence technologies, in particular: Microsoft Analysis Services 2012 Tabular/xVelocity technologies and the DAX query language. The role sits within the R&D department, working closely with the UI developers. The successful candidate will be developing the back-end of systems that bring state of the art visualisation and animation of banking data to both desktop and mobile devices such as iPads. As well as working within the R&D team the successful candidate will also spend time liaising with the various production development teams.REQUIREMENTSCandidates should have a background in developing business intelligence (BI) and/or reporting applications, with a focus in performance optimisation. Extensive SQL Server and Analysis Services experience.Strong T-SQL and MDX skills.A Firm understanding of Kimball design principles and Star schemas.Any experience of DAX or Tabular technology is a bonus.The candidate should have reasonable knowledge of C# .NET, any experience in WCF is very desirable.
